Bill Perry, former Director of Public Relations at the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory ordered a copy when it first came out in 1981 to find out why speakers from the lab were getting such a hard time from the audiences who saw the video. He writes that after he saw it, he sat in the dark for two hours, and then made the decision to resign from his job. He later joined the citizens who were active in the national Nuclear Freeze Movement to try to bring the nuclear arms race to a halt.
